Banana Nut Cake

Since, we just passed Thanksgiving, and are approaching Christmas, we will be making delicious desserts between now and then, with a healthy twist. But today, we will make banana nut cake, a naturally healthy treat, fun for the entire family.
Food Facts: When you get a cake or other treats for a special occasion, such as, birthday parties or holiday parties, and they usually are very sugary or creamy. Both aren't healthy, since you are consuming a bowl of sugar. This is why we will be making banana nut cake, with less sugar, more nutrients, and tasty ingredients. Let's get started!

What you will need

  • Two very ripe bananas, depending on serving size
  • 1/2 cup of plain flour
  • 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour
  • Two eggs
  • 1/2 chopped walnuts or cranberry or almonds (optional )
  • 1/2 cup of canola oil or butter
  • One cup of sugar
  • One teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • One teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 cup of milk
Steps You'll Need To Take

  1. First, fill the 1/2 cup plain and whole wheat flour into a bowl, and add the one cup sugar into the same bowl. Mix it until the powders are mixed properly.
  2. Second, peel the bananas and create a puree out of them.
  3. Once you mashed the bananas, add the vanilla essence and baking soda into the flour bowl and mix.
  4. Fourth, take another bowl and crack the two eggs on it and add the milk into it and stir.
  5. Then, melt the butter or add the canola oil- I recommend canola oil, much healthier- into the bowl and mix.
  6. Sixth, mix all the ingredients in another bowl and add walnuts (the mix is suppose to look like the mix up top) .
  7. Next, preheat the oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit.
  8. Then, add flour onto the sides of the oven plate and pour the mix into the plate and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, depending on serving size.
  9. After 20 minutes, check if the top of the cake is golden brown, if it is, turn off your oven and let the cake cool.
  10. Last but not least, enjoy the cake with your friends and family!
If needed, walnuts are not really needed, for the ones who are allergic to nut.
This banana nut cake is a healthy way to start eating healthy, instead of buttery or creamy cake, try this or the next set of desserts in line.
